I am ready to call the whole thing off.’ Advisor Natalie told the woman that being lied to is not the best way to start an engagement. ‘People may scoff at this and call you “shallow” or “materialistic” but the symbol of what this ring stands for is important,’ said Natalie.

So when one woman’s boyfriend proposed to her with an engagement ring that didn’t have the real jewel on it, she was very upset. The bride-to-be asked her fiancé about it but he brushed her off. When she went to get the bling insured, she found out it was cubic zirconium, an imitation of a diamond. She said she was upset that he lied to her and pretended it was the real thing.
