After Crucial Derby Win Over Manchester United, Manchester City Get Back To Business
Pep Guardiola's men looked in high spirits
as they had a laugh with the training equipment before completing the session
less than 24 hours after seeing off rivals Manchester United at Old
Trafford.
City are currently top of the table and will be
watching Liverpool's encounter with Huddersfield at Anfield on Friday as the two
continue to fight it out for the Premier League title.
Manchester City's stars showed their strength as
they battled with tackle bags ahead of Sunday's trip to Turf Moor to face
Burnley.
While a win for both sides will see no change in
position by the end of the weekend, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insisted that a
trip to Burnley is never easy and City should not be expecting three points
from their visit to Turf Moor. 'Is Burnley a place that I would love to
have now on the schedule for us?' Klopp asked. 'No. Honestly not.
'It is not a place where you think: "Oh nice!
We are going to Burnley. Easy points!" It is a tough place to go and they
are in a good momentum, they won an impressive game.
'They are used to that style of play. They have got
40 points now and that is good. It is like it is, we have don't have to really
think about it. We just have to be focused. For others it is really hard like
intense – to separate it, but for us it was not a problem. That is what we have
to do again.
'Then we will see. There is so much good advice I
could listen to; rest players here, don't focus on the Champions League, do
this, do that, but they are from people who are not in the situation.
'We just have to play the games and, so far, it was
pretty good. That is what we have to do again.'
City are currently one point ahead of Liverpool in
the title race and need to win all three of the remaining games to retain their
Premier League crown.
